We got a call this morning from one of our missionaries saying that missionary work is on hold for now and there would not be a district meeting today. We were already on the bus heading there.
We had already made plans to attend the temple and spent the night there tonight and there isn’t a safer place to be than that. With all this in mind we may spend more than one night.
This is the downside of social networking as the looters communicated with their Blackberries and kept one step ahead of the police.
We can imagine that the olympics organizers are especially appalled at these happenings.

Wow. I haven't heard anything about this yet, but I haven't had the t.v. or radio on today. The church responds so quickly to these things to keep their missionaries safe. It's sad that the same tools help rioters and looters, too. I hope all are safe over there.
