Our Last P-day in London???

Change is in the air, but we don’t know where we are headed next. It’s doubtful that we’ll ever live closer to central London than now, so we decided to have a last hurrah.

Leaving Charing Cross Station we walked past a residence of Herman Melville.

It was wonderful to hear Big Ben chime the hour.

Parliament was well-guarded. Our destination was across the street.

Westminster Abbey has been the coronation place since William the Conquerer on Christmas Day, 1066. Queen Elizabeth II was crowned here in 1953. Princess Diana’s funeral was held here in 1997.

After leaving the Abbey we walked down Parliament Street and discovered Abraham Lincoln!

We saw some tourists posing with this phone booth and thought we'd do it too.

We were tired of walking so the subway sounded good.

Back at Charing Cross station. Our train was listed but we had to wait for them to post the platform number. In the meantime...

Bill couldn't resist going in Burger King just to smell the hot grease!
